Drama As Tambuwal Refuses To Sit In Front Of APC Flag In Viral Video

A video currently circulating on social media has captured the moment Aminu Tambuwal, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), refused to sit under the flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during a meeting attended by prominent political figures.

Tambuwal, a former governor of Sokoto State, was seen in the footage objecting to the seat offered to him, which had the APC flag positioned directly behind it.

According to the clip, former APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, had invited Tambuwal to take a seat, but the ADC chieftain declined, pointing at the party flag and reportedly asking that it be removed from the area.

Naija News understands that Tambuwal appeared visibly uncomfortable with the backdrop, given his current affiliation with a rival party.

Following intervention by Ganduje and others in the room, Tambuwal eventually agreed to sit, though the brief standoff sparked online reactions.

Tambuwal, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, is currently a key figure in the ADC, one of the leading opposition platforms expected to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s APC in the 2027 general elections.

In other news, former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has declared that it should be possible for a child of nobody to achieve greatness without the support of any cabal in Nigeria.

This is as he called supporters of the ADC and the members of the Obidient Movement to unite and work together ahead of the forthcoming elections.

Obi, in a statement on Sunday, disclosed that he gave the charge on Saturday during a meeting with ADC and the Obidient Movement in Asaba, Delta State.
