Shaffy Bello Explains Why She Avoids Long Road Trips In Nigeria

Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has shared that she does not enjoy travelling long distances by road within Nigeria, except for short trips such as from Lagos to Ibadan.

Naija News reports that she spoke about this during a media chat, where she opened up on how she prefers to move around.

According to her, she enjoys going on road trips when she is outside the country.

However, within Nigeria she would rather travel by air or use water transport.

She linked this choice to the level of infrastructure and safety on Nigerian roads, which makes her feel more at ease when she is not travelling by land.

She explained that this choice has affected her social life because some people no longer invite her for events that require long hours on the road.

She made it clear that she only considers such trips if the person she is visiting is very dear to her.

For anything farther than Ibadan, she prefers not to travel by road at all.

She said: “I prefer water and air transportation. I don’t like road trips. I can do road trips abroad but in Nigeria, no, thank you.

“I can only consider road trips in Nigeria if the person I am going to see is extremely dear to me. Once it is farther than Ibadan, count me out.”
