‘Shut Up Your Stupid Mouth’ – Singer Timi Dakolo Blasts Critic Over Remark About LASTMA Officers

Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, has responded to criticism over his public commendation of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) officers for working tirelessly throughout the festive season.

Naija News reports that Dakolo, in a post via 𝕏, praised the LASTMA officers, saying they had been working all around the clock in December and deserved applause for their efforts.

He wrote, @followlasma officers una wehdone… these guys have been working all round the clock this December.

However, the praise did not sit well with a social media user, who dismissed it as unnecessary and likened it to “clapping for a fish for swimming.”

Responding to the comment, Timi Dakolo fired back, telling the critic to keep quiet and asking whether they understood what it meant to work around the clock.

The musician added that people who do demanding jobs deserve to be applauded when they do well.

He wrote, “Shut up your stupid mouth. Do you work round the clock? Do you know how hard it is? Applaud people when they do an amazing job.”

In other news, President Bola Tinubu’s aide, O’tega Ogra, recently reacted to Timi Dakolo’s allegation that he has not been paid for a job he completed.

Naija News understands that Dakolo had called out Ogra on 𝕏, saying he had completed the job but was yet to receive payment.

Dakolo wrote: “Mr @otegaogra please pick your calls. I did my job.”

Ogra, in his response, stated that he has seen the commentary and will not engage further.

He said that his record is public and stands on its merits.

He also warned that any further attempt to personalize the matter would be met with formal correction and possible professional or legal action.
