Phil Foden Hires Lawyers After Fake News About His Children Goes Viral
Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has taken legal action after cruel fake stories about his children spread across social media.
The England star became the target of disturbing online rumours claiming that one of his children had died and another had been diagnosed with cancer.
The false posts, which included AI-generated images showing Foden and his partner Rebecca Cooke in tears, quickly went viral, prompting widespread concern among fans.

According to reports, Foden’s management team is now working with a legal firm to track down those behind the hoaxes and have the content removed from various platforms.
On Facebook, one fake post falsely claimed that Foden’s six-year-old son, Ronnie, had passed away, while another alleged that his four-year-old daughter, True, was battling cancer.
The stories, posted by fan accounts posing as Manchester City supporters, spread rapidly and led to Foden’s name trending online as fans sent messages of condolence, unaware the claims were entirely false.
Cooke, who shares three children with Foden, publicly condemned the fabricated stories on Instagram, describing them as “sickening.”
“We are aware of the pages and accounts spreading these stories,” she wrote. “They are completely false and very disturbing. I don’t understand how people can make up these things about anyone, especially children. It’s sickening.”
She reassured followers that the family was doing well, adding, “Thank God we are all fine and thank you for all your concerns. Please report any posts or pages you come across sharing these false stories.”
