2025 FIFPRO Men’s World 11 Shortlist: Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe Lead Nominees
The 2025 FIFPRO Men’s World 11 shortlist has been released, with football icons Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kylian Mbappe making the cut.
The list of nominees, however, comes with a notable omission as England captain Harry Kane failed to make the cut this year. Also, Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen was not nominated for the 2025 FIFPRO Men’s World 11.
Goalkeeping contenders include Gianluigi Donnarumma, Alisson Becker, and Thibaut Courtois, all recognised for their consistency and influence between the posts.
In defence, the competition is fierce, featuring Achraf Hakimi, William Saliba, Marquinhos, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, alongside Barcelona’s teenage sensation Pau Cubarsí.
Midfield is stacked with both established names and rising stars. Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Luka Modric feature alongside Kevin De Bruyne, Pedri, Federico Valverde, and Cole Palmer. Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves and PSG’s Vitinha also earned nominations.
Up front, the shortlist includes, Erling Haaland, Messi, Ronaldo, and Mbappe are joined by Mohamed Salah, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Ousmane Dembele.
The final FIFPRO Men’s World 11 will be decided by votes from professional players worldwide, who will choose the team that best represents football’s finest in 2025.
