Europa League Final: I Won’t Be Surprised If Spurs Beat United – Ferdinand

The former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, believes that it wouldn’t come as a shock if Tottenham Hotspur emerged victorious against the Red Devils in the upcoming Europa League final, scheduled to take place in Bilbao at 8 p.m. tonight.
Ferdinand highlighted the impressive form of Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham side against the Red Devils, noting that they have already defeated Manchester United three times this season.
Despite his deep ties to United, Ferdinand admitted that he finds it challenging to predict the team’s performance in the final.
In an interview with Optus Sport, he stated, “I’ve got to be honest, I cannot call a Man United result. Man United are so inconsistent in the Premier League this season.”
He went on to acknowledge the frustration among fans, suggesting that they shouldn’t be too taken aback if Tottenham clinches the Europa League title. “Tottenham has beaten us three times already this season, so it’s not going to be a surprise if they beat us a fourth time,” he added.
This commentary follows Ferdinand’s recent remarks regarding Manchester United’s past decisions in the transfer market, stating that the club sold players they ought not to let go.
He has also been critical of the club’s recruitment strategy since the retirement of legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson, pointing to a lack of direction and consistency in building a competitive team.
