Nollywood actor, Ugezu Ugezu, has kicked against Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye’s sack as Minister of Women Affairs.

Naija News recalls President Bola Tinubu terminated her appointment on Wednesday, October 23, alongside five other ministers in his cabinet.

In a post via his Instagram page, Ugezu frowned over Kennedy-Ohanenye’s sack, stating the former Minister was working assiduously for citizens to feel the renewed hope of Tinubu’s administration.

The movie star stated that Kennedy-Ohanenye’s sack would discourage the people who genuinely wanted to transform the country by changing the various departments.

He said, “The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who promised the citizens RENEWED HOPE, sacks the Minister who worked assiduously for the citizens to feel a sense of renewed hope. It tells us something….. the leaders of the country are not ready for a realistic change.

“Things like this tend to discourage the people who genuinely want to transform the country by transforming the various departments. Corruption thrives. Saddening!”

Kennedy-Ohanenye Comments On President Tinubu’s Leadership

Meanwhile, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has expressed unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu, declaring him destined to fix Nigeria despite her dismissal from the cabinet.

The statement came after a recent reshuffle by President Tinubu, which saw Kennedy-Ohanenye and four other ministers removed from their positions.

In a statement released on Saturday, Kennedy-Ohanenye thanked the President for the opportunity to serve the country, describing her time in office as an “honour and privilege” to contribute to Nigeria’s development.

Kennedy-Ohanenye was among those dismissed in a cabinet shake-up that also affected Lola Ade-John, Minister of Tourism; Jamila Bio Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development; Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education; and Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development.

Despite her ouster, Kennedy-Ohanenye voiced her support for the Tinubu administration, affirming her readiness to continue fighting for Nigeria’s progress alongside the President and his team.
