2024-2025 NPFL Matchday Five Complete Results, Ahmed Musa Scores Twice
Super Eagles of Nigeria captain, Ahmed Musa, marked his return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) by scoring twice for Kano Pillars, a club he first joined in 2009 and then briefly in 2021.
Recall that Ahmed Musa had to return to Kano Pillars in October 2024 after he terminated his contract with Turkish club Sivasspor earlier this year.
Interestingly, the 31-year-old forward proved that he still has much to offer by scoring two goals for the former NPFL champions.
Meanwhile, the NPFL matchday five clash between Enyimba and Katsina United was suspended due to floodlight issues.
Naija News gathered that the NPFL clash between Enyimba and Katsina United was suspended in the 72nd minute because an obstacle reportedly hindered the floodlight at the Enyimba International Stadium earlier today, October 6.
Before the accident, the Aba Elephants were leading 3-0, and at the time of writing, there was no official confirmation on when the game would resume, but reports claimed that the remaining minutes of the game would be played at 8 a.m. on Monday, October 7.
On the same day, Ikorodu City continued their winless run as they lost to Plateau United, while Remo Stars suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Kwara United.
In Port Harcourt, Rivers United continued their unbeaten run by defeating Akwa United, while Heartland finally picked up an emphatic win after five games.
