AFCON: Video Of Tinubu Celebrating Super Eagles' Victory Against Cameroon Emerges

President Bola Tinubu has again expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria.

The President who contested and won the February 25, 2023 election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said he is proud of what he achieved.

He added that he couldn’t have achieved it without the help and support of those who believed in him and voted for him.

According to him, he is proud of winning the 2023 presidential and also defeating Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) who challenged his victory up to the Supreme Court.

“I’m proud, standing before you, I’m very proud of every one of you and I’m proud of myself too, I went for election and won with your support, they took me to court and I won,” the President said.

Naija News reports Tinubu made the statement on Friday at the closing ceremony of the retreat organized for Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Presidential Aides and other top government officials in his cabinet.

‘Tinubu May Empty Basket Of Ministerial Appointees By January’ – Atiku’s Aide

The spokesman of the Atiku Abubakar 2023 Presidential Campaign Organisation, Daniel Bwala, has commended President Bola Tinubu‘s criterion for measuring the performance of ministers.

Tinubu on Wednesday said government officials and appointees who cannot assist in ensuring the success of his administration and delivering on the expectations of Nigerians are free to leave.

Naija News reported that Tinubu stated this at the opening of a three-day retreat with the theme, “Delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda,” organised for ministers, presidential aides, permanent secretaries, and top government officials at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

President Tinubu noted that at the end of the retreat, a bond of understanding would be signed between the participants and himself, insisting he has given them a free hand to carry out their responsibilities.

In a post via X on Friday, Atiku’s aide asserted that many ministers might lose their appointment by January if Tinubu follows his criterion for measuring performance, which is based on clearly defined objectives, adding that only three ministers will survive the eviction.
