PFIPC: Stop Looking For Scapegoat – Atiku Clears Buhari, Blames Tinubu’s Govt
The 2027 Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has dismissed claims linking the alleged fake agency, the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), to former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Naija News understands that some All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwarts and supporters of the President Bola Tinubu administration have claimed that the agency was established under Buhari.
However, Atiku, in a statement by his media aide, Paul Ibe, on 𝕏, asserted that what the late President created was the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC).
He wrote, “What Buhari created in September 2019 was the Presidential Economic Advisory Council, PEAC, which was chaired by renowned economist, Dr Doyin Salami.”
Ibe alleged that PFIPC was only a “manifestation of Tinubu’s ‘tiwa tiwa’ government.”
He wrote, “No matter how they try to spin it, the existence of the PFIPC, and how it ‘outsmarted’ senior officials of government, SGF, CoS, the Ministry of Finance regulatory agencies, CBN, the NASS under leadership of Akpabio and Abbas, anti-corruption agencies, EFCC and security agencies, Nigeria Police, DSS, is a confirmation of how incompetent and clueless President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is.
“They should stop wasting our time and resources looking for scapegoats.
“The buck stops on the table of #Emilokan. It is not only his turn to “grab, snatch, and run” with power, it is also high time he shows accountability and lives up to his response, according to his oath of office.”
