Kate Henshaw, Okey Bakassi Attacked For Hosting APC Governor’s Re-election Fundraising Dinner

Veteran Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw and her colleague, Okey Bakassi are currently trending on X for hosting the fundraising dinner of Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma.

Naija News reports that Uzodinma, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), held a fundraising dinner on Thursday, the same day the Supreme Court affirmed President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 election and dismissed the appeals of his major contenders Peter Obi of Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Considering how many Nigerians have frowned at the apex court verdict, many deemed it surprising to see Kate Henshaw and Okey Bakasssi, supporters of LP, host such an event for the ruling party.

The development earned the two celebrities’ backlash online.
