First Lady Remi Tinubu Gifts N250,000 Each To TradeMore Flood Victims
First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has given financial support to at least 57 households living at the TradeMore Estate in Lugbe, Abuja.

Naija News recalls that many houses were affected by flood weeks ago at TradeMore Estate following heavy rainfall in the early hours of Friday, June 23rd.

Extending help to those affected, the wife of the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, distributed N250,000 to households in the area.

This news platform understands that the donation came through Tinubu’s project, the Renewed Hope Initiative.

The first lady made the donations through her representative, the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, who expressed her sympathy for the victims of the unfortunate incident.

Tinubu said that though no assurance exists that such kind of incident will not reoccur, especially when the rains are not yet over, she is, however, optimistic that the outreach and intervention of the Renewed Hope Initiative will go a long way in reducing their pain at this time.

The first lady said that, though the Initiative is still in the process of registration by the CAC, she cannot turn the other eye under the present circumstances of the TradeMore Estate, which is in her domain.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the chairman of the Residents Association, Dr Adewale Adenaike, thanked Tinubu and the renewed Hope Initiative for the hand of kindness and support extended to them during this trying time.
