Thugs Attack Labour Party Candidate, Harrison During Campaign In Delta State

The Labour Party (LP) House of Assembly candidate, Harrison Gwamnishu, in the Aniocha South constituency, Delta State, has been attacked.

Naija News learnt that the human rights activist and his supporters were attacked in Ewulu, Aniocha South Local Government Area of the state.

The thugs were suspected to be members of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.

Photos of the incident which emerged online show the campaign vehicles of the candidate which were destroyed by the hoodlums.

At the time of the report, it is unclear if Harrison sustained any injury during the attack.

Olumide Attacked

Meanwhile, LP candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Surulere Constituency 1, Olumide Oworu was attacked during his campaign in the Surulere area of the state.

Naija News reports that the 28-year-old actor cum politician narrowly escaped unhurt when some unidentified hoodlums suspected to be political thugs reportedly attacked his team during a campaign walk of the LP on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023.

Olumide Oworu who is famous for his role as ‘Tari Johnson’ in the Africa Magic Series ‘The Johnsons’ had only recently unveiled his political ambition under the platform of the Labour Party in Lagos.

Speaking about the incident, the 28-year-old via his verified Twitter handle disclosed that some members of his team sustained injury during the attack.
