2023: Peter Obi Is New To The World, He Needs Time To Learn – Yakasai

Elder statesman and founding member of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Tanko Yakasai has submitted that Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi has a lot to learn about the political process in Nigeria.

According to Yakasai, Peter Obi is new to the system and needs to be patient to learn.

The elder statesman also urged the former Anambra State Governor to imbibe the virtues of patience and endurance because he is contesting at such a level for the first time and still has a lot to learn.

Naija News reports he made the submission on Thursday while speaking in an interview with Arise Television.

He said, “Anybody that is contesting or starting something for the first time is in learning process. Peter Obi is new to the world. He has lot of time to learn. Peter Obi needs to be patient and endure. He needs lot of time to learn about the process.”

This online platform recalls Obi contested the February 25 presidential election in Nigeria but lost to the eventual winner, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

I Will Reclaim My Mandate

However, speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Peter Obi said that Nigerians were robbed during the just-concluded presidential election.

The former Anambra governor however vowed to fight to reclaim his mandate.

He said: “Be rest assured that I and my running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed will not rest.”

The presidential candidate said he and his running mate remain undaunted and committed to the project of a new Nigeria.

Peter Obi said he would challenge the election that produced Bola Tinubu as president-elect.

“If you must answer his excellency, the process by which you arrived at the office must be excellent,” he said.
