Tinubu Media Director, Onanuga Mistakingly Shares Post Campaigning For Peter Obi

The Director of Media and Publicity for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council (PCC), Bayo Onanuga on Monday mistakenly shared a video promoting the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Onanuga, who probably did not review the video before posting it, had the aim of de-marketing the LP presidential candidate.

Naija News had earlier reported that some Anambra-based northern Muslims in the video shared by Onanuga narrated how the Obi treated them when he was governor of Anambra State.

According to them, the former governor was the only government official who had visited them during their Ramadan fast, to worship and eat with them after their prayers.

They noted that the LP candidate had also brought two trucks filled with bags of rice and food condiments for the Muslim community in his state at the time.

After mistakingly posting the video, Onanuga was called out by tweeps who faulted him for not watching the video accompanying the post first, but rushed to share it in a bid to de-market the LP candidate.

Onanuga who wanted to de-market Obi in a post on his Twitter account claimed that the presidential candidate is not who Nigerians think he is.

Some Twitter users mocked him for posting a video supporting Obi.

@Chekus wrote, “He does not vet anything my brother. Same person posted a letter of land allocation to Peter Obi only to delete it after he found out that there was another letter from Peter Obi rejecting the offer.”

@Toyinjaz wrote, “Tinubu as bad as he is, surely deserves better. Wetin be this???😀😀😀😀😀😀😀. Yiu couldn’t spare 30 seconds to watch the video before quoting it? Eshe wa useless patapata bayi no? Tinubu has to collect change from you people. Una too lazy.”
