Oyo Woman Stabs Husband To Death Over S3x

The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a housewife for allegedly killing her husband.

The 27-year-old woman was said to have stabbed her husband with a knife during an argument over sex.

The command’s spokesman, Adewale Osifeso, said the lady committed the crime on November 16 at their residence at Oko-Oba, Oyo town, when the deceased attempted sexual intercourse with her, and she resisted.

Naija News learnt that the suspect’s resistance led to a struggle between her and the deceased, after which the husband collected and smashed his wife’s phone on the ground.

In retaliation, the suspect went for a knife and stabbed the deceased in the chest resulting in his death.

Osifeso added that the deceased and the suspect returned to their home on the same day of the incident after three months of separation as a result of a misunderstanding.

He said the suspect had confessed to the crime and would be charged in court after the investigation.

The police spokesperson said the suspect (name withheld) was one of 25 others paraded over allegations of murder, armed robbery, burglary, stealing, cultism, kidnap and conspiracy.

The command also paraded nine suspected cultists armed with guns, cutlasses and other dangerous weapons.

They intended to unleash mayhem on members of the Ilupeju community on New Oyo-Ogbomoso Expressway when they were nabbed, the police officer said.

Osifeso said the cultists were arrested on November 5 after credible anti-crime surveillance and intelligence reports.

He said items recovered from the suspects include two locally-made guns, two live cartridges, one facemask, two Bajaj motorcycles and one Mazda bus.

No fewer than five armed robbery suspects were also paraded by the command and recovery of two locally made guns.

Also on parade were five armed robbery suspects who had been terrorising the people of Oyo town.

Osifeso also told journalists that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Adebowale Williams, has appealed against the destruction of campaign billboards and posters and incitement of violence as the 2023 general elections approach.
