Presidential Yacht: Nigerians Reaping Consequence Of Voting Tinubu - Adebayo

The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo, on Tuesday, met with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Abuja.

Adebayo and some SDP chieftains arrived at the meeting venue shortly after the Labour Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, had interacted with the religious leaders.

Naija News understands that presidential candidates were invited for an interactive session with the CAN leaders to share their ideas and concerns regarding the nation ahead of the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

Speaking at the meeting, Adebayo said the problem facing the country was caused by bad leadership, promising to move the country forward if elected president in 2023.

The SDP flagbearer called on various leaders to be truthful and just, stressing that nobody will remember a leader’s religion or party if he is truthful.

Adebayo also promised to get Nigerians to be more patriotic and allow everyone to worship God peacefully. He also called on the church to participate in politics.

He said: “We believed in moving the country forward. The problems still fall back on the leadership of the country.

“So, to solve our problem, the leaders must be truthful and just. In this country, truth is an offence. If a leader is truthful, nobody will remember his religion or party.

“The church is to participate in politics. But don’t do it the way the politicians do it. Teach us the good way to do politics.”
