The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi has opined that he cannot embezzle public funds because God has blessed him more than enough.
Naija News reports that the former Governor of Anambra State made this known in a recent event while speaking to some Nigerians in the diaspora.
In a video sighted online, Obi issued a curse on himself if he takes a public fund that does not belong to him.
According to him, he was at a public event where the American President, Joe Biden said he is worth $8.9 million.
However, someone like him from a third-world country is richer than Biden hence questioning why he should steal public funds.
The LP flagbearer added that he is not looking for a private jet, sophisticated house, or eager to own a house in America.
Why Peter Obi’s Popularity Is Growing Nationwide
Meanwhile, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Patrick Obahiagbon, has revealed the reason the popularity of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is growing nationwide.
The former member of the House of Representatives said Obi‘s popularity keeps souring nationwide due to the dissatisfaction of the entire political class.
He said Nigerians and particularly Nigerian youths are rallying around the former Governor of Anambra State to save the country.
Obahiagbon made this known during an appearance on a programme on Arise Television, The Morning Show, on Friday.
The former lawmaker, however, saluted Obi’s courage and sincerity to want to cleanse the Nigerian system.

Peter Obi is one out of million, he has contentment quite like most of the aspirants who would want to carry the whole world without being content , I call it black and uncivilized mentality.
We had never asked them how they made that wealth they are displaying, Imagine Biden who has worked all his life in a developed economy worth $8m , while some of the aspirants who were nobody before they assumed positions they held before now , all of a sudden they become billionaires flying private jets, living in castles etc, and some have insatiable appetite for wealth and we are clamouring for them, nobody has asked how did they make the wealth even our DSS is not concerned.
Obi’s case is different , he was born with silverspoon , so he has background and also a successful businessman before he joined politics ,quite unlike other aspirants that have no backgound or proven identity.
We want credible candidates and not criminals to rule us , we have suffered a lot before the little that is left will be siphoned by greedy , despotic anddesperate would be aspirants.
