Peter Obi Sends Message To Sultan Of Sokoto On His 66th Birthday

The presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has celebrated the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, on his 66th birthday.

Naija News reports that the Sultan of Sokoto and President of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) celebrated his 66th birthday on Wednesday.

In a series of tweets via his verified Twitter handle, Obi described the prominent monarch as a man who embodies humility and wisdom, adding that he stands as a bridge builder.

The former Anambra State Governor appreciated the Sultan for using his exalted position to pursue peace, progress and development of the nation.

Obi prayed that Allah’s blessings and mercy be upon him as he celebrated his birthday in good health, peace and happiness.

He wrote: “On this day, I am delighted to celebrate a great Nigerian; the Sultan of Sokoto and President of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), His Eminence Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, on the occasion of his 66th birthday.

“Leadership in Nigeria with many diverse cultures, religions and interests remains challenging. But as a man who embodies humility and wisdom, he stands as a bridge builder and uses his exalted position to pursue peace, progress and development of the nation.

“May Allah’s blessings and mercy be upon you as you add a year to your age today! May you enjoy the rest of your years in good health, peace and happiness.”
