Shehu Sani Mocks Nwajuiba Over Absence At APC Presidential Primaries

Former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Shehu Sani has reacted to the absence of the former Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries.

Naija News earlier reported that Nwajiuba was noticeably absent when the 22 other president aspirants gathered at Eagle Square, Abuja, venue of the APC Special Convention.

The former minister’s absence was quite shocking to Nigerians as he was one of the first ministers to resign from the Federal Executive Council (FEC) after President Muhammadu Buhari ordered public office holders vying for elective offices to leave their posts.

In a statement issued by his brother, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba stated his brother stayed away from the exercise due to the possibility of monetization of the process.

He disclosed that the former minister entered the race for the presidency with the belief that the ticket would be zoned to the South-East.

Prof. Nwajiuba said his younger brother is convinced that corruption that has kept Nigeria at a low level was evident at the APC primaries.

Reacting, Senator Sani wondered about the reason for the absence of the former minister at the ruling party’s special convention.

Minister of State for Education; missing on his wedding day.” he wrote on his Twitter handle on Wednesday morning.
