Yerima Joins 2023 Presidential Race, Informs Buhari

A former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Ahmed Sani Yerima has declared his intention to contest the 2023 presidential race.

Naija News reports that Yerima made the declaration on Friday at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja shortly after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

CBN Governor, Emefiele Picks N100m APC Presidential Form

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has reportedly picked up the presidential nomination and expression of interest form of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

It was gathered that Emefiele picked the N100 million forms from the party’s organising secretary at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja, on Friday.

2023: PDP Fixes New Date For NEC, National Caucus Meetings

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has postponed its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting for the second time in a week.

Recall that the main opposition party had earlier scheduled its NEC meeting for Thursday, May 5 before shifting it to Tuesday, May 10.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday, PDP National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, said the much-anticipated meeting will now hold on Wednesday, May 11.

I Didn’t Write Electoral Act Alone – Omo-Agege

The Deputy Senate President and Delta State Governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, Ovie Omo-Agege has denied writing the electoral act alone.

Omo-Agege stated this during a consultative meeting in Ughelli North, Delta State.

The lawmaker charged Nigerians to disregard the report making rounds that he wrote the electoral act alone.
