The Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 general elections, Peter Obi has declared his intention to contest in the 2023 presidential election.

The former Governor of Anambra State declared his presidential ambition before traditional rulers in the state at the Anambra State Government conference hall Agu- Awka, Anambra State.

Obi work to clinch the presidential ticket of the PDP and contest under the platform in 2023.

This is coming a day after Obi attended the official declaration of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar’s intention to run in the 2023 presidential election.

Obi while giving the reason for attending the event said his aspiration would not hinder him from attending the event to which he was invited.

He described Atiku as his leader, adding that he would still attend other events if he is invited.
