War: Ukraine Military Announces First Major Victory Against Russia

As the fight against Russia continues, the Ukrainian government has disclosed that it will be offering foreign mercenaries $2,000 a day to help in the ongoing war against Russian troops, Naija News reports

Naija News earlier reported that the Ukrainian government sought for foreigners to combat against the Russian invasion.

The cry for help from the Ukrainian government has so far seen over six thousand foreigners volunteer from around the world.

According to the Times, one of the recruiter named the Silent Professionals will be offering a contract of between $1,000-2,000 per day plus bonuses.

The listing for Silent Professionals said: “Employer is a US-based corporation. Both male and female agents are welcome to apply.

Only highly experienced candidates who possess at least 5+ years of military experience in this region of Europe will be considered for this role — no exceptions.”

Earlier, the Russian Government has announced a partial ceasefire in Mariupol and Volnovakha cities of Ukraine.

Naija News reports that Russia’s Defence Ministry made this known in a statement on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

The ministry said the partial ceasefire, which would begin today, is to allow residents of two besieged cities to leave immediately.

Today, March 5, from 10 am Moscow time, the Russian side declares a regime of silence and opens humanitarian corridors for the exit of civilians from Mariupol and Volnovakha,” it said.

The Russian forces have taken over the two cities after days of attacks, with the soldiers cutting Mariupol’s electricity, food, water, heating and transportation.
