Beggar Caught With N500,000, $100 Cash

A beggar, Hadiza Ibrahim has been detained after the sum of N500,000 and $100 Cash was found in her possession in Abuja

According to Punch, residents in the area were quite shocked at the huge amount of cash found with the beggar.

The spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory Administration, Social and Development Secretariat, Shaka Sunday, confirming the incident, said that the suspect was in the custody of the agency at the Bwari area council.

He also explained that she was yet to disclose how she got the money.

He said: “We caught the woman with $100 and N500,000.

“The lady is still in our centre in Bwari. She is undergoing profiling because she has not been able to give us all the relevant information and how she came about the money.”

In other news, a man, Felix Akeze who works at FIRS has allegedly held his wife and children hostage at gun point in their residence at Chevron Drive, Lekki, Lagos.

The wife, an indigene of Aku in Igbo Etiti LGA, Enugu state, informed one of her brothers through phone that her husband had told her that she must pay back all the money he spent on her and their children or he would kill her, Vanguard reports

Report had it that security men at the estate with some police from Ajah division arrived at the house at no 5b, Toyosi Adetoro street to diffuse the situation.
