One Daniel Ooko Alego has reportedly robbed his neighbor after he refused to accommodate him when he lost his job.

The suspect who was arraigned alongside two others before Makadara Law Court in Kenya reportedly broke into the victim, Samuel Mutahi’s house and stole his three laptops, phone and money.

The victim told the court that a CCTV caught the suspects while breaking and stealing from his house. He said the crime was committed on August 16, 2021, at Clay City in Kasarani, Sub-County.

He said: “I came back at around 9:00 pm and found the door broken and the items were stolen. The following morning, I went to ask for help from the caretaker who reviewed the CCTV footage.

“That was when we saw Alego and the other two; a woman and a man committing the crime.

“He asked me to allow him to sleep in my house because he had lost his job and he did not have money to afford better accommodation, but I could not allow him.”

The presiding judge, Magistrate M. Malingu adjourned the case to February 25.
