The younger brother of Kashite Eugene, Godwin Eugene, an officer of Nigeria Air Force who was  allegedly shot dead by one Progress Amecheta, popularly known as “Tuface” in Omuanwa community, Ikwerre local government area of Rivers has requested that his brother’s killer be killed.

According to reports, Tuface, a member of local vigilance group popularly known as SPACO, reportedly shot the Air Force officer dead after he went to their base to demand the release of a relation who was arrested over allegation of cultism.

This led to the invasion of the Airforce into the community and the arrest of Tuface.

However, it was learnt that at least three houses, including the operational base of OSPAC, was burnt by the military personnel as a reprisal action against the killing of Eugene.

Eugene, the brother of the slain Nigeria Air force personnel, has given conditions for lasting peace in the area in an interview with Today FM.

Eugene, in one of the conditions for peace, asked Tuface, the alleged killer of his brother to commit suicide.

He also asked ‘Tuface’ to mention those that sent him to kill his brother.

He added that his family demand the total scrapping of OSPAC in the Omuanwa community.

Eugene accused all members of OSPAC in the community of belonging to one cult group or the other including “Tuface” whom he said was a cult leader before joining OSPAC.

He called for scrapping of OSPAC, which, he said, had turned itself into a terror organization with members who are untrained in the handling of firearms.
