9-Year-Old Girl Responsible For Ebeano Supermarket Fire, Arrested By Police |Video
The 9-year-old girl arsonist captured by CCTV footage setting the Ebeano supermarket in the Lokogoma area of Abuja on fire has been arrested by security operatives.
Naija News understand that fire razed the multi-million Naira shopping mall all night on Saturday, July 17, 2021 into the early hours of the next day.
In the CCTV footage shared on social media, the young girl dressed in a black T-Shirt and jeans is said to have caused the fire at an unascertained time after she was seen walking down the aisle where books, lighters and gas cylinders are stocked up on the shelves, before lighting up a fire that would go on to engulf the entire building.
The girl is seen walking away briskly vanishing out of sight immediately after starting the fire.
Ebeano is one of Nigeria’s biggest supermarket brands. Arsonists have however been targeting some of its outlets in recent times.
