A tanker loaded with diesel in the early hours of Tuesday exploded at Egbeda, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
Naija News reports that emergency responders quickly stormed the scene to battle the fire.
Confirming the incident, the Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, said the tanker exploded around 1:18am.
According to the LASEMA DG, the tanker was loaded with diesel when it exploded in the dead of the night, but he could not tell whether the fire razed buildings around.
