Lagos LG Chairman Dies Of COVID-19

It has been reported of the death of Mr Babatunde Oke, the Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State.

According to an anonymous source who is said to be close to the family, Oke died of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The source confirmed to newsmen that the politician passed away on Wednesday morning, August 12 after a few days of COVID-19 complications.

It was reported that the deceased had been ill for a while but suffered a relapse not long after he recovered.

Oke before his death was a second term council chairman and a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Naija News understands.

Meanwhile, the former Governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, on Tuesday disclosed that former Lawmaker, Buruji Kashamu, had plans to transfer his political structure to him a few days before his death.
