13 Members Of A Family Killed In Fresh Bandits Attack In Kogi

A community in Kogi State has been left in commotion after bandits stormed their community and killed 13 people from the same family.

According to reports reaching Naija News at this time, only one person from the family survived from the horrible attack which happened on Wednesday, July 28.

It was reported that the bandits raided Agudu, a community in Bassa, Kogi/Koton-Karfe LGA of Kogi State yesterday and left a family in pool of tears after killing 13 people from the house.

Naija News learnt that the 13 people murdered includes a father and 12 of his children, leaving just a son as the only survivor of the attack.

On his part while speaking on the deadly attack, the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Ede Ayuba, confirmed that the bandits had also killed another person and left many severely injured during the attack.

Ayuba, however, noted that the injured persons are currently being treated in the hospital, adding that the police moved swiftly into the area immediately the attack happened and that peace has been restored to the community.
