Bandits Kill 15 In Fresh Katsina Attack

Bandits on Monday reportedly killed 15 farmers in a fresh attack on Yar Gamji village in the Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The bandits arrived at the farms on motorcycles and attacked the farmers who were working at around 10 am.

Naija News understands that the bandits carried out the attack on the farmers for about one hour.

Security operatives later arrived the village to repel the bandits, who retreated to the forest after intense shootout with security men.

Confirming the incident, the spokesman for the Katsina State Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, said more detailed report was being expected.

He said, “About 15 persons were killed in the attack. The bandits, numbering over 200, came on motorcycles armed with AK-47 rifles, shooting and killing the farmers.

“At present, our people are on ground and I am expecting a detailed report on their confrontation with the bandits.”
