The former lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial district in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, has reacted to the call for his prob over alleged association with Ramond Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi.
Naija News had earlier reported that the All Progressives Congress called out some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party over their relationship with Hushpuppi.
The Deputy spokesperson of the party, Yekini Nabena, in a statement noted that the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Bukola Saraki, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and the former lawmaker, Melaye, should be probed over their relationship with Hushpuppi.
Melaye while reacting to the statement released by APC on his Twitter account, stated that he would not glorify APC with a response on Hushpuppi.
The former lawmaker wrote, “I will not glorify a religiously lunatic character nor the caretaker party (APC) with a response on Hushpuppy.”
Recall that Hushpuppi was recently arrested in the United Arab Emirates by the Dubai Police and was extradited to the United States.
He and his friend Olakekan Jacob popularly known as Woodberry are facing criminal charges for conspiracy to launder hundreds of millions of dollars from business email compromise (BEC) frauds and other scams.
