Obaseki Used Adams Oshiomhole As Godfather In 2016 – Ize-Iyamu

The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, on Tuesday, accused the governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki of using Adams Oshiomhole to achieve his first term ambition.

He said this while speaking during an interview on a programme, ‘This Morning’ monitored by Naija News on TVC.

The former governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party further stated that the suspended National Chairman of the party, Oshiomhole used all his power in 2016 to get Obaseki into power.

He pointed to the video which was recently spotted on social media platforms where the former Edo State Governor was campaigning for Obaseki, he noted that the state Governor hardly uttered a word during the campaign as Oshiomhole carried out the major part of the campaign.

Recall that Ize-Iyamu was declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election on Monday having gathered 27,788 votes while the closest aspirant, Pius Odubu had a total vote of 3776.

Ize-Iyamu, before been cautioned not to campaign during the live programme also accused the Edo State governor of mismanaging his opportunity to be the Governor of the state, he noted that he has not done well in the area of security.

He noted that kidnapping, thuggery, and many others have been on the rise since Governor Obaseki took over power in the state.

The APC governorship candidate in Edo State while answering questions on if he wants to reconcile with Obaseki revealed that he has reached out to Governor Obaseki several times to come back to the APC but he failed to pick his calls

He added that he doesn’t like to associate his defection to APC from PDP as the reason for Obaseki to dump the party and he wishes to bring him back.
