COVID-19: Nnamdi Kanu Reveals What Coronavirus Will Do To Nigeria Presidency

The presidency has described the recent claims that President Muhammadu Buhari has cancelled 150 memos authorized by his late Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari as fake news.

Naija News recalls some reports had it that the President was investigating some of the memos and appointments made by his former chief of staff.

However, Mallam Garba Shehu, the President’s senior special assistant on media and publicity has denied the reports.

The presidential spokesperson in a statement on Tuesday noted that all actions by the late Kyari had the approval of President Buhari.

Shehu said: “The attention of the Presidency has been drawn to media reports alleging that President Muhammadu Buhari has cancelled a number of memos and appointments signed off by his former Chief of Staff. Not surprisingly, these reports have quoted unnamed sources.

“There is not a grain of truth in these reports and Nigerians should please ignore the insinuations behind them.

“President Buhari was duly re-elected by Nigerians in February 2019. He has not and will never cede to anyone else, that power and trust given to him by the Nigerian people.”

Meanwhile, it will be recalled that President Buhari has appointed Professor Ibrahim Gambari as his new chief of staff to replace the late Abba Kyari who died in active service from coronavirus complications.
