The manager of the demolished Prodest Hotel has allegedly tested positive for coronavirus.

Naija News recalled that Prodest Hotel, Eleme was one of the two hotels destroyed by the Rivers State government for violation of the Covid-19 Lockdown Executive Order 7 which banned the operation of hotels.

However, speaking on the latest development on COVID-19 Cases in Nigeria, Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Paulinus Nsirim said the Manager of Prodest Hotel, Bariledum Azoroh is among the 27 new cases of coronavirus recorded in the State on Sunday.

Meanwhile in another development,  Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has dragged Governor Nyesom Wike before the ECOWAS Court of Justice in Abuja over the alleged “brutal crackdown, repression, and grave violations and abuses of the human rights of the people of rivers State.
