Amid fear of Coronavirus, the senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa has said that the deadly virus should not affect Christians but can go on to affect non-believers.

Pastor Giwa said that the pandemic should only go to those who are threats to Christians, and unscrupulous politicians in the country.

According to Giwa, in a statement on Thursday, March 19, he had ordered his church members to adhere to directives from the government as regards COVID-19. He, however, said that God has promised to preserve his children from every disease.

Pastor Giwa further reiterated that the deadly virus was meant for Boko Haram, evil leaders in the world and those who hate the children of God.

Part of the statement read; “I don’t want to know who gave you that name, “Coronavirus”. But, hear me, you are not meant to cause fear among the children of God.”

“Go to the camps of those who persecute Christians in Nigeria, go to the camps of the evildoers and unscrupulous politicians.”

“God promised to keep us free from every disease. He will not inflict on us the horrible diseases we knew in Egypt, but He will inflict them on all who hate us. I have instructed all my members to comply with whatever decisions made either by the state or federal governments.”

“This disease shall disappear soon; we will not hear it anymore like Ebola and other diseases in Jesus Name.”

In another report, the National Youth Service Corps has suspended its weekly community development service activities indefinitely to curb the spread of Coronavirus.

The development was revealed in a statement released by the scheme on Friday, Naija News report.
