The leader of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group, Abubakar Shekau, has given fresh conditions for the release of the remaining Chibok schoolgirls.

In a new video shortly after President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Borno, Shekau stated that the remaining Chibok schoolgirls would be freed if the federal government release members of the sect in detention.

The Boko Haram leader also warned President Buhari against returning to Borno State, North-east Nigeria.

Shekau, who warned that the sect in on ground in the region, threatened to attack Buhari if he comes back to Borno.

“Buhari came to Maiduguri pretending to be a good man. He shouldn’t try it again,” Shekau said in Hausa.

Naija News reports that more than 100 of the 276 girls abducted from Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno state, in 2014, have remained in Boko Haram custody.
