President Muhammadu Buhari has emerged as the winner of the Benue government house polling unit, in Makurdi as the coalition for the February 23 Presidential election results begins.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) got 125 votes to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 122 votes at the polling unit.

The Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom, decamped from the APC to PDP in 2018.

Meanwhile, Governor Samuel Ortom had earlier today accused security agencies of conniving with the opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue to intimidate voters at polling centres in the state.

The governor, who defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2018, said he was at this polling station this morning when he was informed that the state agent of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) was arrested at about 5:30 a.m. on the excuse that he was training thugs.
