NAACP Image Awards Releases List Of Nominees

The nominees of the 50th NAACP Image Awards were announced on Wednesday, 13th February, 2019.

Some of the shows that were nominated include ABC’s black-ish and NBC’s This Is Us which lead the comedy and drama fields. Black-ish scored nine nods, while HBO’s Insecure followed closely behind on the comedy front, with five nominations total.

This Is Us also got five nominations (including Outstanding Drama Series), as did Showtime’s The Chi.

The NAACP Image Awards, which celebrate the accomplishments of people of colour in the fields of television, music, literature and film, will be broadcast live Saturday, March 30.
