Qatar Sports Club is in fifth place in Qatar’s first division

Striker Samuel Eto’o signed a contract on Tuesday to defend Qatar Sports Club, a club that plays for Qatar’s first division. For the new team, the player will face former team-mates Xavi of Al-Sadd and Wesley Sneijder of Al-Gharafa, whom the Cameroon teamed with in Barcelona and Internazionale respectively.
The announcement was made on Monday by the official Twitter of Qatar SC, which will be the 13th club of the career of the player of 37 years. In the last three European seasons, the striker played Turkey’s first division for Antalyaspor for two and a half years, and Konyaspor, where the Cameroon had been since January.

Last season, split between the two Turkish clubs, Samuel Eto’o played 29 games, of which he started in 28 and scored 12 goals, six for each team. Top scorer in the history of the Cameroon team, with 56 goals, the striker retired from the national team after the dispute of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Qatar SC are in fifth place in the Qatar first division, which started on 4 October. Samuel Eto’o’s new team played two matches in the current season in which they won a 3-1 win over Al- Gharafa, and lost another, 2-0, to Al Ahli.
