FEC Meeting Will Not Hold For The 6th Time

FEC Meeting

The weekly Federal Executive Council, FEC has again been put off, making it the sixth time the meeting would not hold in President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

On June 20, 2018, the meeting did not also hold due to the Sallah Public Holiday. However, President Buhari used the day to sign the 2018 budget into law.

The presidency has also not stated any reason why the FEC which was cancelled Tuesday night would not hold this week.

However, an anonymous source who spoke with the vanguardngr explained that the meeting would not hold due to the absence of both President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

President Buhari had rounded off a three-day visit to The Netherlands on Wednesday after meeting with Nigerian Embassy staff before departing home.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on the other hand, was in Sokoto over the recent killings and violent attacks on Gandi and Katsina where he condoled on behalf of the Federal Government with the people affected by the tragic flooding in Katsina State.

Osinbajo also commissioned the new ultra-modern BUA cement factory and 32MW power plant in Sokoto.
