Pensioners and civil servants in Osun State may be in for a pleasant shocker as frontline governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP has promised that he would ensure that they are adequately taken care of while helping the hard working poor to completely cast off the chains of poverty.

Dr Ogunbiyi who stated that he was not unaware of their plights, affirmed that as a former Chief Executive of a conglomerate with thousands of workers in his companies, he has a good understanding of how to motivate workers and would go to any reasonable length to ensure their good welfare being.

He made this declaration yesterday during his ongoing state-wide campaign tour where-in his train was welcomed by an unprecedented crowd at Ikirun in the Ifelodun Local Government area of the state, with delegates pledging their support for his aspiration.

Ogunbiyi who observed that workers have an indispensable role to play as partners in governance, opined that their positive motivation is a ready incentive to gallant performance, adding that he is prepared to tap from his collective experience globally in giving reward for their efforts.

For a financial expert who has won the Outstanding Chief Executive Officer Award and whose company was adjudged as having the largest number of highly trained professionals, Ogunbiyi added that the strategy is to give fillip to both the corporate and individual efforts while making them more productive and effective.

Turning to the mammoth crowd of supporters who punctuated his speech with “Idera”, Dr Ogunbiyi urged them to disregard the unfounded story that he is stepping out of the race, assuring that his resolve to contest the party’s ticket is immutable and that it is all in the interest of the people.
