1. Presidency blames National Assembly for budget delay

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has exonerated the executive from the delay in passage of the 2018 Appropriation Bill.

The vice president said the executive has done its part by forwarding the appropriation bill to the National Assembly.

2. President Buhari departs for Ghana today

President Muhammadu Buhari would depart the shores of Nigeria today to participate in the 61st Independence celebration of Ghana.

The president is set to deliver a speech as a special guest of honour during the independence celebrations.

3. Saraki assures passage of NFIU bill this week.

Senate President Bukola Saraki, has on Sunday given assurances that the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) bill will be passed this week.

4. Why Buhari has not visited troubled spots in the country – Osinbajo

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has explained why President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to visit states that have witnessed killings in recent months.

5. APC wins Edo local government elections

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has clinched all the 18 chairmanship seats in the March 3 local government election in Edo state.

Chairman of the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission, EDSIEC, Prof. Stanley Orobator, announced the results of the council polls in Benin on Sunday.

6. My in-law will be governor after me, Okorocha insists

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said nothing will stop his son-in-law, Chief Uche Nwosu, from succeeding him as governor of Imo state.

He further stated that Nwosu’s candidacy is divinely ordained.

7. JAMB candidates can print slips as from March 6

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says candidates for the 2018 UTME can print their examination notification slip from Tuesday, March 6.

This was disclosed by Fabian Benjamin, head of media and information department of JAMB on Sunday.

8. Arik to train presidential air crew members

Nigerian carrier, Arik Air and Presidential Air Fleet (PAF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on capacity building to assist in imparting proficiency and line training for PAF’s pilots.

9. Ahneeka and Angel evicted from Big Brother Naija 2018

Ahneeka and Angel, have both been evicted from the ongoing third season of Big Brother Naija reality TV show.

Leo, Cee-C, Lolu and Efu Enada were other housemates also up for eviction, but they survived.

10. Arsenal, Chelsea loose in premier league

Arsenal and Chelsea lost further grounds in the race to the premier league trophy.

The teams lost to Brighton and Manchester City respectively.
