Michelle Obama Announces Release Date For Her Memoir “Becoming”
Former First Lady of the United States of America, Michelle Obama has taken time to let the world into what she is made of and the totality of her being in a memoir she titled “Becoming”.
“Becoming” is about her personal journey and on how she became the First Lady of the country. Michelle says this journey is very personal to her and wishes to share the experience with people and inspire them.
She took to her instagram to talk about the book:
“Writing BECOMING has been a deeply personal experience. It has allowed me, for the very first time, the space to honestly reflect on the unexpected trajectory of my life. In this book, I talk about my roots and how a little girl from the South Side of Chicago found her voice and developed the strength to use it to empower others. I hope my journey inspires readers to find the courage to become whoever they aspire to be. I can’t wait to share my story.’
According to the publisher Penguin Random House, Becoming is an “unusually intimate” book will follow Obama’s journey from the South Side of Chicago to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
The highly anticipated memoir is being published in 24 languages and part of a two-book $30 million-plus deal with Penguin Random House that includes a yet-published memoir from her husband, former President Obama.
The book is scheduled to be released November 13.
