One dead, hundreds stranded as Lagos state goverment forcefully evict Otodo gbame residents

Operatives of the Lagos State Task Force and some men of the Nigerian Police on Sunday 9 April, invaded Otodo Gbame, a riverine community in the state reportedly on the orders of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

Gun shots were fired as houses were burnt leaving residents stranded on the water.

Not please with the development, Nigerians condemned the action, demanding for justice.

Naija News learnt that the invasion of the community has left at least one person dead while majority of the residents are stranded on the water.
