They Smelled So Bad – Man Lament, Show Off Old 200 Naira Notes He Received From His Bank

A Nigerian man has taken to Twitter to share a video showing the deplorable state of the old N200 notes he received from his bank.

Recall, the President on Thursday directed the Central Bank Of Nigeria to release old N200 notes into circulation to co-exist with new N200, N500, and ₦1,000 banknotes for 60 days.

The President, however, said old N500 and ₦1,000 banknotes are no longer legal tender in the country.

Following the directive, a Nigerian man who went to his bank to receive the old note, lamented bitterly after he was given dirty and torn N200 notes.

The man in the video shared noted that the money stank and was not in good condition.

The man took to social media to share a video showing the deplorable state of the old N200 notes he received from his bank.

He shared photos and video with the caption…‘’I just received this from the bank, they’re so bad and most of them are torn but half bread is better that none. We really need to do better in the way we handle our currency in this country.”
