Ekiti 2026: Why Oyebanji Visited ADC Candidate, Bejide – Oyebode

The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, has paid a courtesy visit to the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the just-concluded governorship election, Ambassador Dare Bejide, at his residence in Ado-Ekiti.

According to the Special Adviser to the Governor, Yinka Oyebode, the visit was in fulfilment of the Governor’s decision to reach out to all the contestants in the election and seek their cooperation and input in the governance of the State.

Naija News reports that Governor Oyebanji visited Bejide on Monday evening.

Speaking about the meeting, the Governor’s aide said the two leaders focused on the development of the state.

“The two leaders had some discussions on the development of the State.

“Governor Oyebanji’s policy of inclusion is geared towards promoting unity, peace, understanding and mutual respect among the citizens as a major enabler for sustainable development and growth,” he said.

He added that Oyebanji was accompanied on the visit by the Special Adviser on Political Matters, Chief Jide Awe.

Naija News recalls that Governor Oyebanji, who contested and won on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had earlier paid a similar visit to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the election, Dr Wole Oluyede.
