Nigerian singer, Speed Darlington, has expressed frustration with his current marital status.

Naija News reports that Speed Darlington, in a video shared online, said he has no wife or child despite approaching 60.

Speed Darlington stressed that American papers are the only thing he currently has to show off, but wants more out of life.

He stated that at his age, he should be happily married with children.

He said, “I am close to 60 with no wife or child. Is this how I am going to live my life? All I have to show is American papers. I want more than American papers out of life.

“I want family, freedom and respect.” 

Meanwhile, Speed Darlington recently predicted that a second term under President Bola Tinubu’s administration would be hellfire for Nigerians.

Speed Darlington made the remark in a video via his Instagram page on Wednesday, while criticising Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

The singer faulted President Tinubu’s re-election bid, citing the country’s economic situation and rising insecurity across Nigeria.

While questioning Tinubu’s achievements since he assumed office in 2023, Darlington lamented policy failures, structural failures, economic mismanagement, and worsening insecurity.

He said, “You are here breaking your neck to become the next President of Nigeria but you’re not qualified to be President again. From your first term, we already know that your second term is going to be hell fire.”
