Video: Dangote Reveals Highest Amount Of Money He Has Made Within A Year

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has opened up about the largest amount of money he has made within a single year.

The billionaire businessman revealed that he made an astonishing $10 billion in the first quarter of the year alone.

Naija News reports that he made the revelation in an interview with James Dumoulin of The School of Hard Knocks.

When asked about the most money he had ever made in a single year, the Nigerian billionaire businessman responded: “First quarter, we did about $10 billion.”

During the interview, Dangote was also asked about his wealth and whether he is worth the $38 billion estimated by Forbes.

The business mogul appeared to downplay the figure, suggesting that his actual wealth could be significantly higher because some of his businesses are not publicly listed.

Asked how he would like to be remembered, the billionaire gave a straightforward answer.

I want to be remembered as somebody who industrialised Africa,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the prices of diesel and aviation fuel at its loading gantry, days after lowering petrol prices.

Naija News reports that the refinery cut the price of Automotive Gas Oil, popularly known as diesel, by ₦100 per litre.

According to Punch, the product, which previously sold at ₦1,700 per litre, now costs ₦1,600 per litre.

Aviation Turbine Kerosene, also known as jet fuel, also recorded a ₦100 reduction, dropping from ₦1,550 per litre to ₦1,450 per litre.

The latest adjustment came shortly after the refinery announced a ₦75 reduction in the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit, commonly called petrol.

Petrol was reduced from ₦1,250 per litre to ₦1,175 per litre.

The price cuts have been linked to the recent decline in global crude oil prices following easing tensions in the Middle East.

In other news, marketers of petroleum products have said the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, may drop to about ₦1,200 per litre following a reduction in ex-depot prices led by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.

The reduction has also forced other depot owners to adjust their prices to about ₦1,180 per litre, according to Petroleumprice.ng.

However, filling stations have yet to reflect the reduction at the pump, as many outlets were still selling petrol at about ₦1,280 per litre on Tuesday.

Marketers said the delay was due to the need to clear old stock bought at higher prices.
