The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) 2027 presidential candidate, conveyed condolences to the family of the deceased, the Obidient family and all others affected by his death.
“I have just received the sad news of the death of one of our Obidient family members from Edo State, Comrade Benedict Inaede.
“On behalf of my family and the Obidient Movement family, I sincerely console his immediate family and the entire Obidient family. His death is a painful and irreplaceable loss to us all.
“May Almighty God, who has called him home, grant him eternal rest and grant his family and all of us the fortitude to bear this profound loss.
“May we continue to remember his family in prayers for God Almighty’s continued blessings,” Peter Obi wrote.
Meanwhile, the presidency has fired back at the 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, over criticism of the provision of decent accommodation for judges by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Naija News reports that the Senior Advisor on Digital/New Media to President Tinubu, O’tega Ogra, in a post on his 𝕏 handle, cautioned Peter Obi against claims that the decision to provide judges with decent accommodation was an attempt to compromise the judiciary.
While warning Peter Obi about his kind of politics, Ogra asked him, “What exactly were you doing in Anambra in 2013 when you built and inaugurated judges’ quarters – and promised to build more?”
Tinubu’s aide stated that poor working and living conditions expose judges to pressure, compromise, and manipulation by those who want to abuse the justice system
